The "Kalusugan Para sa Lahat" program in Sitio Maamot, Tarlac City, is a community-based health initiative aimed at addressing the healthcare needs of residents in this rural area. Sitio Maamot is characterized by limited access to healthcare facilities and resources, making it challenging for residents to obtain essential medical services. In response to these challenges, the "Kalusugan Para sa Lahat" program was launched to improve health outcomes and promote well-being among community members.
Events
The "Sabay Sa Sayaw" event on December 13, 2022, organized by the faculty members from the School of Physical Therapy, students, and interns in collaboration with the Barangay Health Club and local patients, aimed to promote physical health and community bonding through dance. Led by two SPT faculty members and supported by six students and interns, it emphasized the therapeutic benefits of dance.
"Book-Al sa Puso: Ang Tibook ng Pasko," held on December 11, 2022, brought warmth to Sitio Baag, Maribukyot, San Pedro, and Socorro, Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA) of San Jose, Tarlac, through a gift-giving campaign. Spearheaded by the Medical Library, Medicine RICO 2022-2023, and Senior Clerks 2022-2023, the initiative aimed to strengthen the bond between the FEU-NRMF community and these remote areas, supported by the Office of Community Engagement and volunteers from various departments.
"Ensayo Para Sa’yo," held on November 24, 2022, in Barangay Graceville, aimed to educate caregivers of individuals with physical disabilities on stretching and exercise techniques. Led by faculty members from the School of Physical Therapy and supported by students from the School of Physical Therapy and the Community and Family Medicine Department, the event emphasized the significance of community and health education in improving the quality of life for individuals with physical disabilities.
