The FEU-NRMF Medical Technology (MT)/Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work effectively in clinical and diagnostic laboratories.

The FEU-NRMF Medical Technology (MT)/Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work effectively in clinical and diagnostic laboratories. This comprehensive program combines general education and professional courses, providing a strong theoretical and practical background in laboratory medicine. The students engage in extensive hands-on training through laboratory exercises and a one-year clinical internship. This experiential learning ensures that graduates are proficient in performing diagnostic tests, interpreting results, and maintaining quality standards in laboratory practice. Furthermore, the program's curriculum is closely aligned with Medicine, providing graduates with a significant advantage should they decide to pursue a degree in Medicine or continue with advanced education.

FEU-NRMF SMLS Achievements

Licensure Examination Performance: The FEU-NRMF School of Medical Laboratory Science consistently attains a high passing rate in the Medical Technology Licensure Examination (MTLE). From 2023 to 2025, the school recorded an average passing rate of 94.87% and was recognized four times by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as a top-performing school. Since 1973, FEU-NRMF has produced a total of 318 MTLE topnotchers.

Faculty Competence: All faculty members teaching professional courses are licensed Medical Technologists. Among its faculty, seven are licensure examination topnotchers, and one earned a PhD from the University of Miami as a CHED-Fulbright Scholar. 

Student Achievements: The students have earned distinction in national research competitions, underscoring the school’s strong commitment to academic excellence. They have also participated in various International Student Mobility (ISM) programs, gaining global exposure and enriching their professional competencies through training and cultural immersion at Camosun College in Canada; Daegu Health College in South Korea; Taipei Medical University and Tzu Chi University in Taiwan; Huachiew Chalermprakiet University and Khon Kaen University in Thailand; and the University College of MAIWP International in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Quality Assurance and Accreditation Status: The program has achieved Level IV Accredited Status granted by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), reflecting its commitment to the highest standards of academic quality, institutional effectiveness, and graduate outcomes

Curriculum Enhancement: Students’ knowledge of automation is enhanced through lectures by product specialists from industry partners, including Scientific Biotech Specialties, Inc. (SBSI) and Sysmex Philippines, who provide insights on various automated machines. International speakers are invited during the Seminar sessions to expose the students to global practices and innovations.

The FEU-NRMF Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program is designed to produce world-class Filipino nurses prepared for both local and global practice. The curriculum integrates rigorous academic instruction, intensive clinical practicum, and holistic character formation, ensuring that students are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and professional values required in contemporary nursing practice.

The program consists of a strong foundation in general education courses, followed by a comprehensive sequence of professional nursing courses. Professional courses begin as early as the first year, allowing students to start developing clinical judgment, patient-care competencies, and professional identity at the onset of their training. Competency development progresses vertically across all levels, culminating in the fourth-year terminal practicum and intensive Related Learning Experiences (RLE).
 

Clinical training is conducted in FEU-NRMF’s network of hospitals, partner institutions, and community settings, enabling students to manage a wide range of patient conditions across the lifespan. The program emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, use of technology and informatics, and global health standards, ensuring graduates are competitive and adaptable to international healthcare environments.

Students are immersed in real-world case exposure, simulation-based learning, and supervised clinical practice that strengthens competence and confidence.

As part of our commitment to global mobility, PT students gain access to international training pathways, exchange programs, and clinical placements through partnerships with institutions in South Korea, Thailand, Japan,Australia,Canada and the broader Asia Western-Pacific region. The FEU-NRMF Bachelor of Science in Psychology aims to provide undergraduate students with a solid basic foundation in the major areas of psychology which may also be used as preparation for further studies and training in medicine. The B.S. and A.B. degrees are popular and versatile undergraduate degrees. They can be applied to almost any area of work, including healthcare, social services, law, human resources, business, and government. Courses in these programs explore the nature of personality, how people learn, how gender affects development, and the different ways in which people interact. Elective courses will introduce students to interesting and relevant topics including environmental psychology, physiological psychology, social psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, and family psychology.

As a psychology major, students will gain an overview of current knowledge and viewpoints about the science of behavior and cognitive processes. They will learn the research methods by which such knowledge is obtained, and be allowed to study basic psychological processes, their development, the nature of behavioral aberrations, their treatment, and selected applications of this knowledge. In addition to classroom studies, students will gain hands-on experience at drug rehabilitation centers, mental hospitals, human resource departments of different companies, guidance offices of different schools, and agencies that serve developmentally disabled children and adults, and other vulnerable populations.
