Kalusugan Para sa Lahat

The "Kalusugan Para sa Lahat" program in Sitio Maamot, Tarlac City, is a community-based health initiative aimed at addressing the healthcare needs of residents in this rural area. Sitio Maamot is characterized by limited access to healthcare facilities and resources, making it challenging for residents to obtain essential medical services. In response to these challenges, the "Kalusugan Para sa Lahat" program was launched to improve health outcomes and promote well-being among community members.

Events

On March 11, 2023, the Lighthouse Baptist Bible Church in Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City, hosted a Community Wellness Outreach Program, offering free healthcare services and education to local residents. The team, consisting of medical professionals, a representative from the Office of Community Engagement, and Medicine students, provided medical consultations, including eye exams, surgical evaluations, and advice on various medical conditions.

During WFES Foundation Day from February 28 to March 1, 2023, FEU-NRMF demonstrated its commitment to community health through health booths offering various services. The School of Medical Laboratory Science provided free Complete Blood Count (CBC) tests and blood typing, while the School of Medicine emphasized the importance of regular health assessments. The School of Pharmacy offered blood pressure checks, and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department conducted Pap smear tests, resulting in significant participation and health benefits for attendees.

From February 28 to March 1, 2023, the "THINK – TALK Health Education Series for Students/Teachers" provided crucial health insights. The School of Respiratory Therapy discussed chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and smoking prevention, while the School of Physical Therapy addressed neck and low back pain prevention. With support from various departments and Social Work interns, the program was comprehensive and accessible to the 36 student attendees.
