The GBF-Gokongwei Group STEM Scholarship for Excellence supports outstanding college students pursuing GBF-priority STEM courses. The scholarship is granted to students who possess good academic record, demonstrate leadership potential and community involvement, and require financial assistance to pursue higher education.
Aside from financial assistance, GBF scholars also enjoy scholar development programs including leadership training and upskilling activities, and on-the-job training and employment opportunities within the Gokongwei Group.

Interested applicants are invited to check their eligibility via https://bit.ly/stemsfe_eligcheck. Access to the online application link will be provided to eligible applicants. Qualified applicants will be invited to a live online exam and panel interview.

Benefits
a) Scholars shall receive benefits until graduation from their degree program, subject to compliance with scholarship retention requirements every semester.
b) Fixed annual financial grant ranging from ₱80,000 to ₱120,000, depending on the university (Sent directly to a scholar’s bank account)

c) Employment opportunity in the Gokongwei Group (Subject to company vacancy and passing of all pre-employment requirements)
Eligibility Requirements
a) Must be enrolled in a GBF priority STEM course (Check your eligibility via https://bit.ly/stemsfe_eligcheck)
b) Must have an outstanding academic record with a general weighted average of 85% or 2.0 or its equivalent
c) If an incoming first-year college student, must belong to the top 10% of senior high school batch
d) Must be of good moral standing and exhibit active participation and involvement in extra-curricular activities
e) Must be in need of financial support to complete their studies
Documentary Requirements
a) Fully accomplished application form
b) Proof of outstanding academic performance
For incoming college students, submit the following:
- Certified true copy of grades or Form 137 (report card) for Grades 11 and 12
- Certificate of batch ranking for Grade 12 (if unavailable, submit certificate of batch ranking for Grade 11)
- For ongoing college students, submit a certified true copy of grades from the previous academic year or at least two (2) most recent consecutive semesters
c) Proof of enrollment
- For incoming college students, submit a letter of intent to apply and enroll to a university for 1stsem A.Y. 2024-2025
- For ongoing college students, submit a copy of the certificate of registration for 1st sem A.Y. 2024-2025 (if unavailable, submit a letter of intent to enroll for 1st semA.Y. 2024-2025)
d) Proof of annual household income (any of the following documents)
If the applicant's parents or members of the household who contribute to the family’s income are employed in the private or public sector or self-employed, submit any of the following:
- Recently filed 2022 annual income tax return (ITR) (or 2023, as applicable)
- Certificate of employment with salary of family members contributing to household income (dated 2024)
- Employment contract with salary for OFW
If the family’s income depends on senior parents’ pension:
- Proof of pension
If the applicant’s parents or members of the household do not have a regular source of income and are exempted from filing tax:
- Tax Exemption Certificate from your Residence BIR Revenue District Office (dated 2024)
e) Proof of Residence
- Photo of residence (full view picture of the house, capturing the house number)
- Proof of billing (recent two months, within December 2023 to March 2024 electric or water bill)
f) Accomplished student's personal portfolio
